A necessary element of Pediatrics is good communication with the family.The pediatrician, in order to practice his medicine on the child, must first charm the parent.Every day, I intersperse the examination in my office with stories and examples for parents,while I am often confrontedby asking for a book where they could get information,in order to offer their child the best possible care.The Greek and foreign literature is rich in medical and pediatric writings, without a book that communicates pediatric knowledge to the non-specialist in a novel way.

A little bit of writing and a little bit of the new enthusiastic pediatrician's need to communicate with parents led me, from the middle of 2007, to write regularly on my blog  www.paidiatre.grThese are experiential short stories, based mainly on my daily life as a pediatrician and as a parent.The knowledge of my first capacity combined with the experience of the doctor's office, but mainly of the parent of my twin children, who turned eight years old this year, gave birth to what I like to call "Pediatric Literature".
I collected the majority of the texts posted and, after updating them with the latest in pediatrics, compiled them into a book. Through the adventures of Ermis and Hara, as well as children from my practice, I aspire to take you on a journey into the world of the child's mental and physical health.
